Expressions of Interest open for Plumwood Mountain Caretakers Position
Plumwood Inc. are seeking expressions of interest for couples interested in caretaking the residential area of Plumwood Mountain from March 2025 onwards. The first-round of EOIs are due 31st Dec 2024, but will remain open for candidates interested in future timeframes. Look forward to hearing from you!
Plumwood Mountain handed back to traditional custodians: historic landback and new partnership
On the 8th of September 2024, Plumwood Mountain was handed back to the Batemans Bay Local Aboriginal Land Council (BBLALC) and into the care of traditional custodians, the Walbunja peoples of the Yuin Nation. The BBLALC and Plumwood Inc. celebrated this momentous landback with a small party on the 22nd September 2024.

Monga, NSW – 17th September 2024: Plumwood Incorporated and the Batemans Bay Local Aboriginal Land Council are proud to announce that Plumwood Mountain, a 120-hectare heritage-listed private property, has been handed back to the Walbunja people of the Yuin Nation.
